Mr Alcides L. Morales

Puerto Rico

I have been monitoring and coordinating a yearly census for a withe-tailed tropic bird colony for several since 2001 in the Guajataca Cliffs (north-east Puerto Rico). I have also been involved in an attempt to monitor the red-footed booby colony at Mona Island. I have also been involved with Island Conservation and Fish and Wildlife Service in an eradication project for Desecheo Island which aims to restore former sea bird colonies.

Recently I have been monitoring least tern colonies nesting success in the south-west of the island and establishing conservation measures (exclusion fence) for one colony.
