I'm a biologist and the first works I have done concerned waterfowl wetlands but I've always been fascinated by seabird demography and by their ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions.
The early works I carried out were focused on the impacts of seabirds on fisheries (i.e.: conflicts between human activities and cormorants at fish farm).
Since 2005 I study nesting gulls in urban areas and in 2011 I've finished my Phd on the ecology of Antarctic seabirds. Specifically, I investigated which factors have affected the reproductive success of South polar skua (Stercorarius maccormicki) at Edmonson Point (Antarctica), during five breeding seasons.
Currently I’m supporting the research with professional activities, playing services for consulting society in naturalistic and environmental field.
