Scottish Natural Heritage / University of Glasgow, United Kingdom

I work as a Marine Ornithologist for Scottish Natural Heritage, providing advice to government, regulators and industry on the impacts of offshore renewables on Scottish seabirds.

I am also a PhD student at the University of Glasgow. My research focuses on the ecological impacts of wave and tidal marine renewable installations on marine birds. I use behavioural and sensory ecology approaches to investigate how marine birds use high-energy tidal environments and their detection and behavioural responses to structures on the surface and underwater.
