I am an ecotoxicologist, working mainly on seabirds. During my PhD I investigated the influence of intrinsic (age, sex, moulting strategies), and extrinsic factors (feeding habitat and trophic position through stable isotopes) on bioaccumulation of heavy metals and organic pollutants in a variety of seabirds (>30 species) from the French Austral Territories, southern Indian Ocean. I am also interested in the mechanistics aspects of contaminant distribution in the organism (absorption-accumulation and excretion during moult for example) and I want to extend my research on the effects of contaminants on physiology and ecology.
