I am a researcher working at the U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center. My research could be generalized as studying the spatial ecology of seabirds and their interactions with habitat in the North Pacific. Specifically, I have been studying the process of volcanic disturbance in the Aleutian Islands as it relates to the development of nesting habitat, and the role of physical habitat factors, e.g. depth, current speed, ocean temperature, on forage-fish availability. In my free time I continue to work on the North Pacific Pelagic Seabird Database.
