I am animal ecologist studying wild birds, mainly in their natural settings, often in Polar regions. My study species thus far included shorebirds, geese and king penguin. I have studied thermoregulation in a seabird, i.e. the king penguin. But my current research involves arctic-breeding and temperate-breeding populations of barnacle geese with interest in movement ecology, energetics, nutrition, eco-immunology and parasitology.
