Faroese Marine Research Institute and Lund Uni. SE, Faroe Islands

Just started (1 Septmeber 2013) a one-year post-doc using GMS/GPS Transmitters on Northern Fulmars on the Faroe Islands. This work will be a collaboration between Havstovan on the Faroe Islands, Lunds University, Sweden, Akvaplan-niva, University Center on Svalbard, Norway and Kiel´s University, Germany.

From January 2012 to February 2013 I worked on a project about Mackerel and Herring diet at the Faroese Marine Research Institute. Not seabirds, I know, but still it presented me with a great opportunity to compare various types of diet studies.

I finished my PhD in October 2011. My main focus was the feeding and breeding ecology of the Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus glacialis) on the Faroe Islands, and their use as indicator species regarding primary production. I also collaborated with the Save the North Sea project about marine plastic pollution which also was part of the PhD.
