Albatross Task Force - Chile seeking photos (ACAP's Seabird Bycatch Identification Guide)

Cristián G. Suazo, August 2, 2018

The Albatross Task Force in Chile will be updating the Agreement for the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP) Seabird Bycatch Identification Guide - a key tool for reinforcing species identification among fisheries observers working onboard vessels.

This is of crucial importance, as updated information will help us improve data collection at-sea. Of course, there will be with an emphasis on albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters from ACAP's species list and the guide will include the explicit recognition of your contributions.

This year ACAP is allocating core funding for the tasking of an intern from Chile to update the Seabird Bycatch ID Guide - a key tool for observers on fishing vessels.
