We would like to propose a workshop for the WSC3 within the posted theme of “Outcome-based Seabird Conservation”. The workshop will introduce participants to the concepts of Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation (OS), and through active participation, we will work together to see how a “situation analysis” leads to “theories of change”.
The OS is a well-supported and openly accessible standard framework approach to conservation that aims to achieve more efficient and effective conservation efforts. It is our hope that this workshop will connect people, projects, and conservation initiatives and help illustrate how participants might apply the OS within their own work.
Do you have experience with OS and are you interested in sharing any lessons learned? If so, we'd love to hear from you, and from others interested in learning more! The proposed workshop would take a half-day.
To express your interest or to share your experience, please contact Carina Gjerdrum firstname.lastname@example.org
