The Seabird Group
The Seabird Group was founded almost 50 years ago and is a registered charity that promotes and co-ordinates the study of and conservation of seabirds. The focus is on UK and Ireland, but close links are maintained with other national and international ornithological bodies. The Seabird Group currently has over 320 members and produces an annual full-colour journal, Seabird.

The Seabird Group also organizes regular international conferences, attended by seabird workers and enthusiasts from Europe and the rest of the world. The next is likely to be in autumn 2013 or spring 2014 (details to follow soon). In 2011, the group held the 11th Seabird Group conference at University of Plymouth. Talk and poster presentations covered a wide variety of topics, ranging from migration and foraging to the impacts of marine renewables and climate change on seabirds.
