As BirdLife Malta seabird team, we are nearing the end of the LIFE Arċipelagu Garnija project, which has been focusing on the Mediterranean-endemic Yelkouan Shearwater in the Maltese Archipelago. The project aimed at closing the knowledge gaps on the species' distribution, numbers and threats in the Maltese Islands and reducing the major terrestrial threats; predation by rats, light pollution and disturbance from leisure activities. To share our experience and disseminate the results we are organising a project closing webinar on 9 July Thursday and two workshops on light pollution and colony monitoring methods on 10 July Friday. You can find more information, Zoom links and program of the events on our website: https://birdlifemalta.org/2020/01/life-arcipelagu-garnija-project-closing-conference/
Hoping to see many of you there!
